Job Description


Work with the VP of Product Experience to develop and articulate the overarching product design strategy and direction for the KareOptions Health Portal. Responsible for providing technical leadership and direction with good business understanding to the Product Management. High degree of influence over the product direction.

  • Lead initiatives and collaborate with leadership team, engineering, UX/UI developers and testers to envision and realize product wide experiences.
  • Lead in the creation of strategic design deliverables, strategy decks, customer journeys, visions of future experiences, and experience architectures and evangelize these cross-product "blueprints" across teams.
  • Serve as the lead strategic, UX designer and champion of customer-centric, experimental, holistic design thinking.
  • Continually refine and teach teams techniques on setting mid to long term design strategy.
  • This is a strategic Individual Contributor role with few direct reports, you will be responsible for designing as well as development of the product.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and a minimum 8 years of experience in design and development.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience producing mobile and web products that lead to measurable business and customer impact and managing creative design efforts in a complex environment.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Product Design for B2C, SaaS, with complex applications and enterprise driven product ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with the ability to provide value input on a global scale.
  • Must also be very pragmatic and help drive and clarify what is needed today.
  • Have good judgment and the right personality to earn the respect of both product management and engineering.
  • Ability to present architecture and highly technical products to senior leaders or customers, as needed.
  • Ability to influence others both internally and in the external technical community.
  • Understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the role
  • Proven success delivering large scale, insanely great multichannel experiences across mobile, web, and beyond.
  • Experience working with executives on crucial, fuzzy, ambiguous, 'Big Picture' strategic challenges that touch many teams.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of methods and techniques to run complex design thinking workshops.
  • Deep expertise in journey and service mapping, storytelling, product design, problem framing and solving design problems.
  • Strong presentation skills that showcase ability to articulate strong design rationale, connect design decisions to broader strategic and business decisions, and compel executive stakeholders to action.
  • Experience designing for inclusivity and for diverse audiences (international audiences, multi-language localization, etc.)
